'I'll Do Anything' was recorded for a film project of the same name on 25th April 1992.

Prince began work at Studios 301 in Sydney for this particular project and he also produced demos for 'Poor Little Bastard', 'Make Believe', 'The Rest Of My Life', 'There Is Lonely', My Little Pill', 'Be My Mirror', 'Wow' and 'I Can't Love U Anymore'.

All this work was done in between breaks from the Australian leg of the 'Diamonds And Pearls' tour.

gitto, when you quote from Days of Wild it would be really great if you could mention it. Hopefully other P fans like purpleone will find it of use for further questions

Thanks for your help

I know. I'll be sending purpleone my own dog-eared copy so he can enjoy the rest of such a magnificent and informative tome!

Tom

On the Platinum bootleg, which contains many of these tracks it mentions "I'll Do Anything", a Nick Nolte movie, was originally supposed to be a musical featuring stuff by Prince, Tori Amos, and one other person (cant remember at this moment). Anyhow, at some point in the production, the producers decided the music didnt work, so they scrapped it and released it as a regular movie.

Wasn't "Don't Talk 2 Strangers" originally a part of this
project as well?

What a shame he didn't put "Make Believe" and "I'll Do"
on the "Vault" cd too along with the other trax.

Indeed it was. Prince demoed a total of 11 songs for the 'I'll Do Anything' project. Ultimately, it contained eight Prince compositions, including 'Don't Talk 2 Strangers', before the proposed record was shelved.

'Don't Talk 2 Strangers' was eventually released as part of the soundtrack for 'Girl 6' in 1996.

SkletonKee

it wasnt Tori Amos...I Dont even think Tori was around during them days..

I thought it was Prince and Sinead (not together though) who provided music for the movie...

and I wonder if the director is pissed that the studio wouldnt let him release the movie as a musical..now that musicals are back in fashion.,
