i recall it being pretty dull, which is about par for the course with a Larry King interview. "Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind." -Dr. Seuss

I don't think it was attitude so much as Larry being disengaged, as usual. He usually slobbers all over his guests, but I guess he has to get to know them first. He might as well just start half of his celebrity interviews with "Who are you and what do you do?" "Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind." -Dr. Seuss

I recorded to VHS. He just talked about rave and why he called himself the unpronouncable symbol and him and Larry Graham talked some shit about Larry King Inspiring his attire. And there were some phone in questions. Carpenters bend wood, fletchers bend arrows, wise men fashion themselves.

I've wondered if there is a transcript of that show out there. Anyone know? The expanded version of my book PRINCE and The Purple Rain Era Studio Sessions 1983-1984 was released in November 2018. I enjoyed that interview he spoke very frankly and said more than he usually does. [Edited 5/20/07 18:29pm]

Ditto on that....that had to b REALLY strange! He was on the Chris Rock show once in a real loose mood and was his real self...no acting or pretense!
