Nice guy?

Given the chance orgers, would you really want to meet Prince and sit down and have a chat or would you rather preserve his mystery and admire him from a distance? I'd be afraid of shattering the illusion as I've read cases of numerous people who've met their idols (sorry Prince - I know you hate that word!) and have come away rather disappointed. Also, I think Prince is aware of the power of retaining some measure of distance to preserve a sense of mystery.

I understand the devistation of illusions getting shattered but I'd want to meet him anyway..because he has been my favorite entertainer for a long time and how many opportunites in life do you have to meet people really exciting and as phenomonal as a great artist? How could anyone pass that up considering how much happiness his music has given you?

I appreciate Prince's music and in interviews he comes across as nice and funny, so I would want to sit down and have a chat. I would approach him as a talented human being not some idol/celebrity. If he played the "I'm a big star" card, I wouldn't be impressed with him as a person lol but I'd still buy his music.

I would be a little afraid to meet him he seems so BIG to me but I think I'd love to hear him speak, I like seeing him on TV doing interviews, I would like to hear him speak on the Bible although I am not JW, but do believe in God.

I agree.
He seems confused as always, but not at all mysterious. The mystery train has left in the 80's right after the purple rain frenzy.
I think he never was mysterious, it was a only used as a marketing thing.

Of course I would! biggrin

I would just hope I was able to be cool, and not a nervous wreck, stuttering. lol I did get to shake his hand in Vegas, which made my year and then some. worship It was at the end of the aftershow, and all I was able to say was "thank you, thank you".
Ask where they're going, they'll tell U – "Nowhere"
They've taken a lifetime lease on Paisley Park ...music

I have met him. Did some work for him and hung out just listening to music with him. He is SOOOOO funny! Most people don't realize that. But still he had a sexy mystery to him.
