Prince needs to do a one hour TV special

There are so many people out there who haven't followed him and doesn't know what he's missing in concert. I wish one of the major TV networks will let him, and he agree, to do a one hour summer or fall TV special showing just how kick ass he can be in concert. Or maybe even yet, take an hour from one of his Britain shows, or Las Vegas gigs, and television it on prime time TV. I bet it will be a ratings bonanza and put him back into the mainstream spotlight again.

Do you think that he'll agree to it? Or that a network may be convinced to do it?

How about his own network? PrinceTV? I'd subscribe.
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

I once heard Prince say If people can always see you on TV, they won't Pay money to come see you. I think he has a point there. smile

Give Prince and Rosie their own reality TV special.

Just before the Musicology tour, he had an half-hour special for MTV viewed on lots of channels, 'The Art of Musicology'. He played Musicology and Dear Mr. Man live with the band, then there was an acoustic guitar section, together with a short interview at the end.

The Rave 2000 concert was also viewed on pay-per-view tv.

In the UK, over the years they have shown the Parade Detroit concert, the Lovesexy Dortmund concert, plus the Beautiful Strange Cafe De Paris aftershow amongst other things.

So, been there, done that, Prince concerts on TV is not a unique idea, nor have any in the past made that big of a splash, really.
