I've been listening to Tower Of Power at youtube.com and since P has played various covers of their tunes at concerts and after-shows, and credits them at award shows (UK Hall Of Fame), and i can't but help marvel at the ban's musicianship (Killer Horn Section!) and Lenny Williams' singing. I love P, but P vocally couldn't hang with Lenny William's. Kip Blackshire singing sounds more soulful than P when in that musical environment. But P is so versatile and inventive with his voice that he can do whatever, "Get On The Boat", "Chelsea Rodgers" .
