There's a nice version from the Chicken Grease bootleg, where Prince invites Mica Paris to sing along with him. It doesn't have the jaw dropping guitar solo like the version you mentioned, but it's quite dreamy and really nice.

The gig where he spots Mica Paris in the crowd and hands her the mic was at Camden Palace in London in '88. Clips of the gig were shown on the Omnibus documentary 'The Prince of Paisley Park'.

The Camden Palace became the Koko Club - where Prince has just recently done yet another gig of course!

That's Roseland NYC oct. 2nd 1988 It has DorothyParker/4 then Just my imagination and then Jack U off. Is that right, do they also sing sitting in this café... during just my I.? He says Las Vegas as cue for the band to fade the song out.

Am I right? Is that the one, it's about 10 min long.

U mean I spent all these years wondering who did that G solo, (hopefully I'm thinking about the same one as you). I sleep with music and I roused up and there this song was on the radio. Thanks. Very dreamy indeed.

In 90 I made a tape for myself with all kind of Just my Imaginations (beside the stones and temptations the tape contained 4 or 5 live redentions by Prince (Holland, London, Hamburg if I recall correctly). Magnificent song.

Play it every year at 0:01 on new years day.

Well, the vocals are great on this one and I like the "§sitting in this café" outro very much, the guitar solo is not as focused and outta this world as the one from Holland but it is fantastic anyway.
The Hamburg Aftershow version is great too!
