I really like this album.

I love this album. It is one of my favorites. I don't think that there is one bad song on ATWIAD.

Tambourine

It has a lot of just "so-so" songs on it. Condition of the Heart is one of his worst songs ever and ATWIAD and Temptation are both far from superb. Pop Life is kind of lame too.

It's iight - It's probaby one of my least favorite Prince album from the 80's though.

I really love this album so it is hard for me to tell u why others don't. If I had to in a pinch, I'd say because it came on the heels of PR.

aw I like the song Pop Life.
It came on in Belle's Outlet and I was by the sunglasses rack dancing like a idiot while everybody watched me

Don't get me wrong, around the world in a day is a good album, but alot of people were expecting another album either like 1999 or Purple Rain.

love this album...yeah most were expecting another purple rain style/type of album ....but that was like 20 years ago...im way past purple rain...This album is a classic...

overall, it's ok.

It's cool he did something different than what was expected.

But, despite a couple of all time classics, it has alot of songs that are just alright.

In my experience, most people I have comne across who have listened to the album don't dislike it. They simply don't tend to rank it as one of his best albums.

I think this album's pretty good. Definitely into Paisley Park, Tambourine, The Ladder; and Rasberry Beret's alway's going to be a classic.

When my brother got this album when it first came out, I was just a kid. While i couldn't necessarily appreciate the music then, I certainly dug the cover of the album if nothing else. Still my favourite.

It's one of those albums where you think: he had SO much quality in the vaults at that time, why did he choose those songs, in that order?

I remember a quote from him along the lines of, "you know how easy it would have been to take the solo at the end of "Let's Go Crazy" and put it in a different key?" That sounds pretty good to me

I think, lots of ppl grow to like the album, but most are disappointed on first listen. Prince's most anti-climactic release? I think so.

I appreciate him going for a different sound and branching out..but it is not funky enough for me. I think it is one of the least listened to Prince albums by me.

I love ATWIAD, only people expecting him to do the same old thing were disappointed!
