I've heard prince cover a portion of "mediate" by INXS, (don't know if this is vice-a-versa or what) but am assuming Prince is covering INXS ... can't recall the song tho .. can anyone help me out?

any background info on this... as far as the INXS tie in?

i remember INXS' Mediate. i've been actually looking for the video version on CD that flows straight out of the end of Need You Tonight video. I understand that Bob Dylan did something like that word sequence too, or maybe INXS just bit him in the way they're holding the signs to the words like they do in Mediate. I haven't heard Wonderful Ass what is the tempo like and does he say the words similarly as INXS did?

It's not a cover as the lyrics are different but there's an obvious similarity. Wonderful Ass was recorded in 1983; Mediate was on the Kick album from 1987. Now are we really saying INXS heard this bootleg way back then and borrowed from it? Or is it just a coincidence, brought about by both borrowing from Bob Dylan's Subterranean Homesick Blues song. I think the latter.

metalorange is correct: INXS got it from Dylan. even the video for "Subterranean Homesick Blues" shows Bob flipping cards just like Mike...
