LOL. Are you joking? I live in Edinburgh now which is fairly liberal but come from Dublin and you would get your head kicked in for looking like Prince.
Of couse it does not help that I am follically challenged. lol [Edited 5/15/07 8:27am] Looking for a new man. Freaks need not apply. Freeeks can tho ;-p

When I was about 17/18, I went through a phase of wearing frilly musketeer shirts with a brooch at the top, frock coats, side-rouched trousers, Cuban heels, hooped earrings and big round mirrored shades... wilfully oblivious to the fact that I was a freckly, ginger Welsh kid, not a smouldering mixed-race American. Well, I tried.
Actually, who am I kidding. I haven't really stopped. He still influences my style, to a greater or lesser extent depending on what year it is, my fluctuating weight, and what I feel I can get away with. Actually, if I could get hold of that blue skies/white clouds suit from the "Raspberry Beret" video, I'd wear it regardless of whether I could carry it off.

I remember some documentary in the uk about obsessive fans in the nineties, and there was this towering six footer from Leeds walking round in a full on lovesexy polka dot suit. That took some nerve Hey Pricey, still loving ur Kingmaker/Suede Dogshit/Diamonds juxtaposition 15 years on btw

I´ve seen some really WEIRD looking dudes during the 2002 Celebration at Paisley Park...one of them looked like Christopher Tracy, including that infamous big hat and that combo he wore on the Mountains 12" cover, the other dude had that Diamonds and Pearls outfit. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

I change my hair at least twice a year. And I've actually had one of Prince's haircuts -- the short one with asymmetrical bangs from the Versace shoot. (I have never worn gold mesh, however. )
I also love ruffles, polka dots and paisley -- but I wore them even before Prince started dressin' like a pirate. And I'm all about the short boots, baby. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Definately. When I was in high school, I was a cross between Prince, Hendrix, Dez and Jesse. If u want to see me during this period, check out the Purple Rain Special Edition on dvd. It has the footage of the premire at Mann's Chinese in Hollywood. You can see me since I'm in about 6 different shots. You can't miss me since I'm wearing a white headband and my hair is stacked to the sky. SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."
nammie "What BGZ says I believe. I have the biggest crush on him." http://ccoshea19.googlepa...ssanctuary http://ccoshea19.googlepages.com

At the moment, I just buy a lot of purple coloured tops and wear one hoop earring.

i'd love to wear shoes like he does. don't think i could pull it off though. i'd sure as hell try it if i could.
for now, i'll just wear purple. but i've always looked @ pics of Prince and thought "that would make an awesome dress" or "i wish I had that [insert name of clothing]" "So shall it be written, so shall it be sung..."

Back in high school I did, actually it was a combination of Prince and Lisa and Wendy. I wore clothes that were similiar in style ( like the puffy shirt)wore just one hoop earring and had my hair styled like the girls during the Purple Rain time ( short on one side and long on the other with my bangs kinda hanging in my face)

I've got a couple ruffled shirts, some high heeled boots, and I wear eye liner on occasion, but that's about it. I really wish I had the matching suit and shoes thing going on. That's really sharp! Wanna hear me sing? www.ChampagneHoneybee.com

During the Lovesexy period, I had a gorgeous Rifat Ozbek suit that had a black skirt with a high, boned waist (black) and a double-breasted Spencer jacket with a mandarin collar in a fine black-and-white stripe with two rows of big, black buttons on the front. I wore it with a pair of black croc-and-white leather Stuart Weitzman high-heeled spectator pumps with fagotted trim in black-and-white polka dots, white lace-trimmed gloves, and a black bowler hat made of beaver felt.
As Michael Kors would say, "It was a lot of look." But it's one of my favorite outfits of all time. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I make alot of Prince faces
Giving people these long intense gazes, and then shyly looking away I'm weird though, so it's okay If you will, so will I
