Sorry if this topic has been done recently, im averagely new to looking day in day out so I've missed it if it has. I know how annoying FAQ's can get...

But what are your favourite Prince concerts?

Some of the classic Prince concerts have been those in the 80s. My favourites were Sign O The Times and Lovesexy.

More recently, I must admit to thoroughly enjoying the Diamonds and Pearls and Gold Experience tours.

I would place Lovesexy Live in Worcester Mass #1, but the Paisley shows from '94-95 are a close 2nd.

Most of the shows were unannounced so my sister and i would drive out to paisley 2 or 3 times a month--just by chance-- and witness pure magical funk...something i had never seen before or since. Prince may have taped these shows, but i wish he filmed them too.
Coolest thing was, TGE wasn't out yet, but all the hardcore fans knew the words and the dance moves(like Now's) to the songs.

And he'd play for hours and hours some nights until 5 or 6AM, no joke. It's funny how much turmoil he seemed to have in the press during that time--with the name change and WB issues blah blah...but out at Paisley, it was Prince doing his thing, no worries whatsoever.
