I think it would make good sense.
Open the show, everyone's riffing on something, pan around, where's Prince? Drums? Prince plays drums. Three songs in, a quick few words with Jools at the keyboard then something at the piano, solo, which would surprise most casual viewers. Close the show: a track with the band: Prince on guitar showcasing his musical showmanship and ability as a band leader. It would be enough to convince anyone that Prince deserves more than anyone the invite back to do a complete show, as they have done with other (lesser) artists before. Get the first one sorted to broadcast before the concerts start. Record the second one to broadcast after he has shown Europe how to stage a show and the continent is still buzzing. It would (re-)seal his status beyond the committed fanbase and musical journalists in Europe. It's really a no-brainer that many have wished for over the years ... but would he do it???? . ALT+PLS+RTN: Pure as a pane of ice. It's a gift.

You're dreaming, but i like it "London, i've adopted a name that has no pronounciation.... is that cool with you?"

Last year, the BBC Website ran a poll to see who the public would like to see on Later with Jools Holland. Prince came top of the list. Is there anybody else who has slightly mysterious bruises?

Would Prince want to share the show though?
Later... is very much a chilled out relaxed show, with the performers and the audience all mingling together. I'm not sure Prince would be comfortable in that surrounding. All orgnotes and emails requesting trades or how to acquire bootleggage will be ignored. - The ThreadKiller -

Not too good and not too bad.
