Fake "Prince" Songs on Kazaa

All are from an album called "Dr. Feelgood" which doesn't exist. Titled Funky Stuff, Little Nasty Witch, Mr. Dopeman, Sexy As You Wanna Be.

Sexy As You Wanna Be definitely sounds fake given the bad imiation (sounds more like Cameo), yet the other sound very fake too. I think the silly drum machine gives it away.

Btw, the songs are attributed to The Artist Formerly Known As Prince.

There's another, but not from the "Dr. Feelgood" album, entitled Girlfriend (Tell Yo Boyfriend) The song itself is a good imitation of Prince as far as melody, etc. Yet it still has that silly drum machine.

Could it be that some of these are real?

And does anyone have info on the song "Yes Again"? Thanks a bunch!

I dont know who that dumb guy is!

But I have 2 admit his song : Yo Kinda Man is a real good one despite the drum track and everything else sounds like a pop version of "If I Was Your Girlfriend". I wish this person would let us know who he is, and me 2 congragulate him on Yo Kinda Man because I really du like that song and he did fool me good

yes it fooled me also...then i played it a few weeks ago& was thinkin "hang on that doesnt even sound like the slowed down Prince vocal".
another is "lips 2 find u"(sounded like a Purple Rain era instrumental)...when i d/l it & heard it i thought it was the most beautiful thing i had ever heard...then i found out it wasnt Prince.still beautiful music tho,not sure who made it.

The song "Yes Again" is by John L. Nelson, his dad of course. I'm pretty sure the CD it's on is also called "Yes Again" but I'm not 100% sure. It's hard 2 find.
Don't hate me 'cause I'm NOT beautiful

"Lips 2 Find U" is a 1986 Teena Marie song. For years, people mistakenly assume that Prince had something to do with this track but he doesn't.And NO,it wasn't in the 'Purple Rain' film smile

I got that song and a few others like it.
It was the first boot I ever bought called "prince - Platnum".

I There are two versions of that song on that album. One track has a sampled "Yes again" that pops up here and there and you can here talking in the background, like he was just sitting behind the controls with someone while working the song. The other track has the sampled voice out of it, with some hard hammering on the piano. Kinda sloppy but sounds like it's on purpose so it's cool. I think the alternate version is called "Falling Down".

The rest of the boot contains the "I'll do Anything" songs at first, the first cut of days of wild has a long extend rap in the middle that sounded like he was still trying to figure it out, a "Box Talk" interview, mirror message, which is a backward track that not until, years later when I got my first computer, I put the CD in and copied the track and reversed it. It was Prince talking about Moe Austin and Joe from WB thanking them for his time at Warner Bros. and has taught him a lot, but has to leave them now and something about letting him "be all he could be".

There are some other tracks on there, that I cannot make out the lead vocalist but the liner notes say that they were from a forth coming album called "Father's Song". They were more gospel sounding with an "older sounding" female voice with some backing female vocals. Mostly piano though.

I think I got it a year or two before Gold came out.

For my first bootleg, this was quite a cool collection of songs. It really shocased his diversitility. But also a let down because the next three bootlegs I got were horrible compared to that one. Both in content as well as quality. I don't think I ever bought another boot after that.
