doesnt everybody want to know they r heard, understood and loved? i see the whole world craving, bouncing back and forth between overzealous joy and depression. 'planet earth' is the bi-polar planet far as i can see. i mean, we got 2 poles dont we?
i think its the doctors who do most of the damage, diagnosing this and that without considering the whole human being as spirit also. a pill for this a pill for that. when was the last time they prescribed love and sunshine? funny little planet earth. if someone is really happy and calls you 6 times in a week and ends up leaving aggressive messages cuz they're pissed u didnt call em back yet.... r they bi-polar? or do they just wanna know u care? my friend displays very negative behaviour when he doesnt get what he wants, but i dont see how that is any different to a 3 year old screamin for more ice-cream. i think it natural to know what we want, and even though what we want might not always be what we need, deep down we all remember what its like to be in heaven where everythin comes easy. isnt it understandable to be a little frustrated that life on planet earth makes the good times harder to get? This is a serious matter-----PEOPLE do not need their lives ruined by uneducated and unqualified people where Psychology is concerned. YOU DO MUCH HARM by what you wrote! To those who are innocent, i understand, but to those who are guilty and they know who they are---- I hold you accountable. Wow -- Strong Words -- and while I agree that in society people need to be very very cautious with throwing allowing psychological labels regarding people's behavior - - but here is why YOU are being IRRATIONAL: (1) The posting about Prince being Bi-Polar was EXPLICIT about saying this is NOT a psychological opinion, but rather a lay person blog post (2) We are not attempting to diagnose a 8 year old child with a mental illness or disorder that will cause him to have a stigma for the rest of his life. We are wasting time theorizing about a CELEBRITY who doesn't read these posts and which in no way carries implications for anyone else who could be damaged by a premature, faulty, or ignorant diagnosis 3) The posting HARDLY goes into the level of detail and specifity that is required to give a clinical diagnosis of bi-polar according to any version of the DSM so no one could possibly read the post and think they may be bi-polar based on it, especially when the author of the post clearly states he is not a psychologist or psychiatrist All in all, your intense and passionate cautious to protect people from the harm of misdiagnosed mental disorders is legitimate. However, I think it's a little misplaced in a PRINCE.ORG posting about some celebrity. I suggest you carry the same message to District Attorneys and other members of the Criminal Justice System and Social Service System that so often labels people to incarcerate them or give them an unnecessary stigma (like antisocial disorder) that does nothing but harm them and society. **** I don't know what this has to do with an 8 year old**** All I am saying is " don't talk out of school" about someone if you don't have the facts. You seem to have it quite wrong. I live in a free country as do many others here. We are perfectly free and within our place to discuss and speculate about the actions of people who place themselves within the public eye. If you are uncomfortable with those discussions you should simply avoid them or hop over to princefams.com or some such. #3-- It is my place, because when i see something that is wrong and i can help to remedy it then i will. I love and care about people, therefor i help.
You need to realize it is NOT your place to reprimand anyone, nor to ask them for retractions and apologies. You do NOT hold that power or position. You are no better than anyone here, and the fact that you go out of your way to judge strangers having a conversation certainly doesn't place you on any higher footing. You are, also, not a moderator here so please get over yourself. #4-- I mispelled the word intentionally to draw attention to the fact that i am trying to mend any damage that might have been done in ignorance! So why are you intentionally misspelling 'mispelled' then? You misspelled quite a bit more than just that one word and I think you're just trying to save face.
