Which Prince cd should I get next?

Ok, I need help from all the huge Prince fans. I love Prince's music of course like all of you, but I am more of a fan of his 'more commercial' music.
i only have
-dirty mind
-sign o the times
-lovesexy
-diamonds and pearls
-symbol
-come
-the gold experience (LOVE THIS ONE!)
-emancipation
-rave un2 the joy fantastic
- the very best of
-the rainbow children (WHAT IS THIS?)
-musicology

ditto. PR must have for Prince fans and fans of 80s music alike. or just fans of really good music (in which case u would have alot of Prince).

I would agree that Purple Rain should definately be your first priority.

Alternatively, if you liked The Gold Experience, you might also like Chaos & Disorder and Crystal Ball, which contain a lot of Gold era tracks.

Get 1999 first, then get Purple Rain. It's a great piece and a great leadin to PR.

please listen to the rainbow children over again, it took me a while to get it too, but i eventually succumbed!

Parade is brilliant

But also for easy listening get the 3 CD pack prince greatest hits hits, you get some brilliant B sides on there.

These are the songs i would recommend: black day, holy river, insatiable, controversy, sexuality, sometimes it snows in april, thunder (there are so many that i would recoment that i'm spoilt for choice).

my dad already owned PR (has since its released) so I adopted it... I've yet to get 1999 myself...

but wow, I never thought 1999 would be THAT essiental... I guess I shouldnt be surprised thu, cuz its got that 80's that I go crazy for.

I agree with all of those saying PR and Parade! But if you have abit of spare cash I suggest Crystal Ball as you really get your moneys worth (and then some)! Also, there's a few greats on the Batman album too, so def worth trying to get wink
