lol same here. i just can't afford it. the ticket prince is great
but the flight and the stay in london will cost me more than i'm
able to spare at this time.

imagine going to see like 2 shows, you'd have to be in london for
about 3 days at least plus food and a hotel and some shopping and
going out with other orgers for drinks

eek

plus i've only got the first week of august off from work neutral

anywayz, i'm sure the bootlegs will be great woot! and it's cool
to read all the reports so soon from people that did go.

Yeah, I didn't mention everything... smile

Sorry to hear people have been having problems. I've been away on holiday for a couple of weeks and some told me about this only yesterday.

I mangaed to get 6 tickets for the 03/08 6 for the 04/08 and also got 4 for the 31/08 and 2 for the 01/09. That should do me fine. I'm tempted by the Vip tickets a little pricey though. I if I find a have some spare after I've found out whose interested I should be able to fund it with the sale of them.

All my tickets are lower seats, couldn't get floor.

I'm sure In time we'll all get tickets.

Looking forward to these shows after hearing the recent Las Vegas shows.

Hoping for some aftershows, I can't believe I missed out on last night.

It was a scam, they made it seem like you could get floor seats for £31.21 but they were only reserved for the VIP tickets which were over £200.

i brought two sets, i kinda regret buying the second lot of tickets because the seating is not a good as i thought it was.

so "Lower Tier" seats, are those any good?

hmmm

what exactly does that mean anyway? that you're on the seats in the round
and somewhere in the lower part of that ring or what?

is there a floorplan on the ticketmaster site somewhere so you'll be able
to see what section you're in?

Lower tier seats are just fine and may well be better than floor seats, especially for short people! As the name suggests, they are tiered, so the row in front is a bit lower down. Every Prince concert I've been to (the next on August 7th will be my 50th!!! Woo-hoo!) has had everyone dancing from start to finish, so for those of us that are not tall, they're the better option.

Also, the O2 arena is not exactly massive, so the lower tier is not that far away from the stage. I'm going to 3 of the O2 dates and have lower tier seats for all dates, but am saving the rest of my money for other venues - particularly the Forum in Kentish Town, which is rumoured to be among the other venues he will play. I saw Prince, around New Power Soul era, when he played at Brixton Academy (I'm playing there on 25th May - what an honour to play at a venue where I've seen so many of my musical heroes in the past!) and the much smaller setting was just great!

Can't believe that people still bitch about having to try more than once to get tickets!! Did you expect anything different? One of the biggest names in music, and you expect just to get straight through and book along with the rest of half of Europe??!!! lol

Official tickets are £31.21 - if you're daft enough to pay well over the odds and keep the touts in business, then more fool you and you're only perpetuating the situation. If everyone just chose to ignore the touts and stick to official channels, then the touts wouldn't be in business. If there's demand, someone will supply. No demand, no supply - simple. So, its not a "scam" and hats off to Prince for not being capitalist driven - he could easily charge much more, but isn't. My mum just got Barbara Streisand tickets and had to pay £395!!!!! Even when I went to One Nite Alone at Hammersmith Apollo, they were £55.

So, thanks Prince for coming back to where its at (hehe) and keeping it cheap so that many can enjoy your music - that's what its about smile

ah thank you for your extensive answer! hug

i'm very happy with these seats and will bring one of those small
fold-in concert viewers as well.

and indeed, i'm not very small but there's always huge guys right
in front of me at concerts so this sounds like a very good option

Nope - some will be in small venues, others are rumoured to be in medium-sized venues like the Royal Albert Hall.

Hi IstenSzek - long time no see mate (we used to banter back in the day! In fact, hello to everyone I've not seen here in some time!) I been too busy to be around here over the last year or so, but Prince being back in town has re-ignited my enthusiasm and its nice to drop in here and hear (most) people being positive and excited.

Great, isn't it? smile
