We all are true Prince fans, if we were'nt we would'nt be on this web site. but my question is thinking back over the years Prince has had many styles and
images and etc. Which Prince is your favorite, and i mean that by asking which
era ( example: the Prince from 1978 - 1979 , when he just started, and was kind of timid and shy or from 1980- 1981 when he realized that he has a Dirty Mind and was full of Controversy and Sexuality(pardon the pun or the Prince of 1999 or the Prince of the Purple Rain Era when he was a household name, or the
Prince of Around the World in a day up until the Parade when he was jamming with the Revolution, or the post Revolution music ( Sign 'O the Times , Lovesexy) or the N.P.G and years or the Larry Graham intervention years with Prince becoming a Jehovah Witness up until now). Which era do you miss the most... me personally the S.O.T.T. and the Loversexy, Camille era and the Revolution was my favorite eras.

The 80's. Along with the Revolution. And yes, Camille. But then it's hard to say really. Time changes.

I feel like I'm hardly in the right place to make such comments, but based on what I own.
I dunno...

I mean, the Prince on Purple Rain & ATWIAD seem to be two different people right now (although some of the tracks remind me of each other) to me.

But there's something appealing about him when he was known as .

Come has given me a taste of the innermost person he is. Letitgo & Solo especially touch on him... I feel bad for him in Solo and Letitgo... just plain amazing to me. It's like he's trying to get in touch with himself. Perhaps his soul has 2 halves 2 it and he was getting really in touch with the one that lives for the music (this is me going on a whim with Daotist ideals)...

There's a more personal feel to 's material that I really get into. So I guess the obvious answer is, my favorite Prince is between Come/TGE. I feel like I can relate to him a lot more... or does he relate more to me?

His music isn't top-notch at present as in the past, but I like the "mature"/JW Prince at present. He has that charm about him that came from the wisdom he holds.

I don't think there is a "bad" Prince that I didn't like, up to this point.

Here's how I rank 'em

1. Money Don't Matter 2night (his sophistication at best)
2. Diamonds & Pearls
3. Gett Off (I didnt even like at first, but it grew on me)
4. Cream (I used to like a lot... but kinda find these days)

I like Graffiti Bridge/Rave Prince with the long hair. D&P era was good too until the typhoon took on a life of its own. But P with the long hair and 5oclock shadow whew!

I like so many periods in his career it is hard to pick one but if I had to..

Sexy wise...nothing tops Rave-Rainbow children.. He was looking FINE!

But as for everything coming together..music and entertainment value AND look and shows..I'd say Sign of the Times/Lovesexy...I wish I could just transport back to that time and seen him live then! I'd have a huge smile for a month afterwards! Such an exciting time!!!
