Venting about the ticket touts (scalpers) Fans have been surfing every website that sells tickets also contacting agencies by phone being told no tickets available even when phoning and being online at 9 am something wrong with this. Now we all know that a lot off the Prince tickets are now all over eBay and these unscrupulous companys poping up online, ticket touts (scalpers) are purchasing as many tickets they can.
What get’s me about it is the fans that get screwed over either these places charge and arm and a leg for the tickets or they don’t even have the tickets and do a runner with the money. Also some of these ticket touts refuse to sell the tickets sometimes when they make a loss so less bottoms on the seats the venue’s look empty and this could reflect on the artist it could make it look like the artist couldn’t fill the seats. At least when the club was up and sold the tickets the fans got the chance to get a ticket and not get screwed over, prince cut out those ticket touts I wish he done the same this time. Just 1 woman venting

Anyone caught scalping anywhere on the org (including the chat room) will be dealt with accordingly coz it's a  - same goes for those asking for the password

Minnesota legislators just voted to repeal it's anti-scalping laws. This will make it legal for artists to withhold an undetermined amount of tickets, and sell those tickets at scalper-sized prices on the secondary(internet) market. Giant fucking step backwards for the average fan.
If people find out that their favorite artists are doing this, there should be an unprecedented uproar. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot. | |
