Anyone else 'affraid' that his new album will be The Rainbow Children part 2 I mean, do you think we will get lyrics full of tiresome, dogmatic JW-crap again?
I am affraid so, because of the remarks he made on his press conference in London and parts of new lyrics circulating on the net...

If it is TRC pt. 2, I will be thrilled!
TRC is one of P's most fantastic albums.

In your opinion it is
IMO it has some decent music, some nice idea's, but its musically overrated and the things that holds me back from playing it are indeed those damn smallminded, brainwashed lyrics....

Yes, I'm afraid. But I'm afraid it will be a bunch of tiresome, dogmatic, environmentalist crap. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

No, I'm not because musically TRC was very sound. It was that low voice and the lyrics that let it down.

True...it is my opinion. Musically overrated?? Name me another P. album that's as well put together musically as TRC...there are none, imo. I do see where you're coming from about the lyrics being a bit too preachy...but hey, the man has a right to his beliefs, and I respect him enough to agree to disagree and not let the lyrics be that big of a deal. Live and let live.

We already know it's a spoken voice album discussing Lost and 24. It's intercut with segues from the song 'Guitar', however, and Prince talks in a distorted, Stephen Hawking-esque voice.

Well, I'll take that over "N.E.W.S. Part2 ". RC has some good cuts on it, but like so many Prince albums, it requires a bit of weed pulling.

Is that a metaphor for masturbation? You're the only one I know who feels that way.

I would be happy if it was. The Rainbow Children was the last Prince album I was really excited about. I know some people don't like it, but Prince has something for everybody. TRC was for me. Wanna hear me sing? www.ChampagneHoneybee.com

I wouldn't mind if it was like RC but I doubt it, Prince likes to keep his stuff new!

no i will not be afraid, TRC is one of his best CDs.

yes, I admit I'm afraid. I rarely listen to TRC or the ONA set anymore, mostly because it was too jazzy for my taste. But I'm still ready for a new album. Ask where they're going, they'll tell U – "Nowhere"
They've taken a lifetime lease on Paisley Park ...

And this would be dissapointing why? TRC is a great album, you don't have to be a JW to dig it, I know I'm not one and still like the album.

I am affraid so, because of the remarks he made on his press conference in London and parts of new lyrics circulating on the net... I'm hoping it WILL be TRC 2. That was such a great period, musically, and a superb tour. There are three sides to every story. My side, your side, and the truth. And no one is lying. Memories shared serve each one differently

all my hopes are pinned on it actually being a kind of TRC part 2.
more organic sound, more loud guitar, more weird sounds and lyrics that go beyond "the rims on my ride" -even if that means having to deal with some jw babble. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps
