I'm a fan of Prince's music and think he is a true musical genius.

That said, I couldn't care less about him as a person. Many find his quirkiness endearing. I find him sort of annoying.

Don't get me wrong, Prince obviously is free to be anyone he wants and I don't want him to change. His continuing to put out music is enough for me and I love him for all of that music. But, unlike other fans of his music, I really am not interested in him as a person and don't find him that mysterious or intriguing.

I would have to say that 95% of my interest in Prince has to do with his music. I could care less what he wears, how he wears it, what he eats, how he eats it, who he f*cked, how the f*cked them, is he gay, is he straight, and etc.

The other 5% is shared between what he says in the interviews and what he does in regards to just being a good human being.

I signed up for this forum just over a month ago and its disappointing that most of the time people make threads such as "New Prince Pics", "He's so cute", "New Pics, AGAIN", "He's sexy." I'm aware that there's chicks on this forum and gay men who probably find P attractive, but I'd just like to discuss the music.

What I meant is that really not intrigued by his non-musical life. Some of this is bourne out of frustration. I used to want him to be more accessible. Do more interviews, give more straight answers, but he's just so inconsistent when it comes to that. What I used to think were interesting personality quirks, like his general evasiveness, are now just flat out annoying. I'll most likley never meet him, I'll never really know him, so Prince the man holds little interest to me.

I'm with you Coltrane3. I love Prince's music but I don't care much about his personal life. Some people get wrapped up with how many women (or men) he's slept with or what he likes to eat for dinner. I don't care about that stuff! Music and more music is what I want!

Not only do I care little about him as a person, I in fact generally dislike him as a person.


Of course I don't know him personally. But most of the personality that he's exhibited in the course of his career has been a turn-off for me.


Love him as an artist, though, and that's all that matters.

I adore the man because of his talent/music. Ive heard time and time again that his music reflects what is happening in his life. I dont know him personally, so I cant care about him the way I would care about a friend.

I agree with you totally.It's what is in a persons soul and being that makes him so awsome.I would like to talk with him about any subject.I'am sure there is a lot more to him than we could ever imagine.His choice of intimate women needs to be more on that line,not shallow,pretty,sexy without any depth!!!

I appreciate all his eccentricities; statements, actions, choices. Prince would simply not be if it weren't for that.
