Prince claims to be "travelling and studying" afterwards, so I reckon he may take some time out, and something along the lines of The Rainbow Children will be his next project!

My prediction is new album called Planet Earth in July or June (around his birthday)... He will be performing on 07/07/07 at the "Live Earth" show, which will be the unofficial kick off of his last world tour (called the EARTH Tour) before retiring from WORLD touring. More than likely he will do at least 7 nites at each venue. Sounds like something he would do to me. Hopefully the beginning of the tour before He will do some live dates in the states. I'm really hoping that he will start here in Minnesota or maybe finish here as a "homecoming". COME HOME PRINCE! Let's party at the Park again!

Prince is still devoting wayyy too much to the 3121 nameplate - look at the new perfume named "3121" which isn't out until June. It's a rare thing that Prince would move forward with a new album and still put efforts into the ideas of the previous one. Plus, with the news that he will be taking a break to study and travel after the London shows, would it make sense for him to release a new disc and then vanish?

I mean he *could* have a new album in the works but that would be uncharacteristically odd for it to be introduced in such a tossed off manner. Uou don't begin hyping a new release by devoting one unclear line and making it a freebie. ...and even if he was downplaying it, I don't think the press would.
