It's not hard to be into Prince. When you look at it..he still is more productive and creative than artist who are on radio. Prince has more talent in his little finger than any rapper has in his/her whole body...

Folks called him crazy when he sold Get Wild, then ten years later every other Pop artist was putting out a cologne. Merchandising - clothes, perfume, beverages, whatever - has become a big part of the profit model for many artists today. They have to make their money some way, since folks aren't paying for music anymore.

BTW Musicology and 3121 are far better than the majority of indie and mainstream music out there today(foreign and domestic). And TRC blows them all away. There are some talented folks out there languishing in obscurity, but at the end of the day they are a drop in the bucket compared to the minions of non-talents out there - both mainstream and indie. Being indie does not automatically equate with being good.
