I was excited when I first saw this thread, but I have my doubts since this was not announced on the official 3121.com site. I did a "who is" search on netsol.com for the owner/registrant of the 3121perfume.com domain, and it is not registered to Paisley Park Enterprises like 3121.com. Instead it is registered to a company named Revelations Perfume & Cosmetics that is located in New Hope, PA. So, I don't know. I'll wait and see. Although, I think that would be a serious lawsuit if they were marketing this perfurme without P's approval. perfection is a fallacy of the imagination...

I seriously doubt that, HE didn't make the candles, he just used them in the club. They're by Trish McEvoy. Still. . .I'm speculating that the perfume is gonna cost big bucks--around $100 on the low end. I'll be glad, of course, if I'm wrong.

In your email? Hmm..that's kind of strange that this company is supposedly promoting this and there was no official announcment on the official site. The only thing that makes me leary about it, is that the website doesn't even have the Revelations company name on it, no copyright date, privacy info, or anything related to that company, just makes you wonder why it's not on there, especially if they are promoting it, and the person who posted the info, still never answered my question. I'd rather get a sample of a new CD than of a new perfume. But whateva. As long as it don't smell like piss, then I'm cool. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

It was just a nice keepsake. Despite the many horrible reviews of Get Wild that I've read, I am still dying to know what it smells like. Best I can describe it...like funk. I much preferred Cher's perfume which tanked too. Although you can still get it at some specialty perfume websites. GeT Wild was so God Awful (too funky) I haven't seen it copied. Also, just an observation, but i noticed alot of people here seem to know what Prince smells like. I for one would never want to walk up to someone who dances around under hot lights for a living and sniff them. Further, i thought he smelled like Paco Rabanne...which, incidentally, isn't half bad. As a girl, I think I will stick with dolce and gabana or vera wang. Boys will probably do better to look to Antonio Banderas cologne or Vera Wang. I even smelled the new Kiss fragrances and they smell better than Get Wild did. But maybe they weren't going for funk. Or maybe Prince's idea of getting wild was smelling like a yak. I'd love for someone to rationalize how Prince really isn't bothered about making money, he's just in it for the music, isn't he! "this especially prepared potato is called pomme de terre"

Yeah so long ago...and yet it seems like just last year to me. Thats my point, 3121 solo sounds like something he could have done as Camille, or other things from erlier periods >Peace and B WilD!!!

The website looks really cheap. That whole kalidescope thing looks so amature.
What do the twinz have to do with a perfume? I think this could be fake somehow....

besides, who wants to smell like a vegas night club? Say what you want, but the man has excellent taste and those candles are off the chain and smelled wonderful. I've got one burning right now. And at $42 a pop, the fact that he had them on every table in the Jazz Cuisine shows that he will spare no expense to create the ambiance and environment that HE's comfortable in. $42 candles do not actually exist. That is not to say people do not exist that are willing to pay $42 for what amounts to a few cents of actual value. "this especially prepared potato is called pomme de terre"

If you were at 3121 and he walked passed you or up to you or around you his scent wafted all around him which is why a lot of people know what he smells like. So it's not like one had to sniff to smell him, simply inhaling was enough to get a whiff and it was heavenly. Even after dancing under hot lights and being sweaty he was NEVER musty or funky at any time. Especially in the aftershows. It's a very earthy, unisex aroma. [Edited 5/8/07 7:48am]

And IMO a candle is worth $42 if the ingredients they put in them are kind of rare and out of the ordinary and smell unique when compared to the 1000s of other candles around. And actually the Diptyque candles I usually burn are $80 so these are a bargain to me. And isn't "value" a rather subjective concept anyway??? It may not be worth $42 to you but to me it is and since it's not your money there's no skin off your nose, so why comment?
