TRC (I LOVE THIS ALBUM PLUS IT FLASHES ME BACK TO ONA CONCERTS AND AFTERPARTYS!!!!! A GREAT and INTIMATE time with PRINCE)
The Vault (I cant describe how this album makes me feel, the jazz man)
3121 (even though it was number 1 on the charts, the fans were topsy turvy over it)

It's like people only want Rock Funk Prince and not R&B Funk Prince but u know, his R&B is just as staggering as his Rock.

After really getting my hopes up just from the awesome teaser riff on the website before it's release, I really never got into it much at all - for my money 3121 was the real return to form that Musicology only promised, but didn't quite deliver.

underrated : Lovesexy

Listened to Lovesexy on the iPod today in fact - maybe I have a spot for it, because it was the first show I saw.

I remember it as perhaps being the start in the dip of his commercial success, but I think it's pretty great still. Eye No is a great opener, with Glam Slam, Alphabet Street and Anna Stasia all brilliant. Dance On and Lovesexy perhaps not so great, but still good fun. When 2 R in Love a pretty decent ballad, the perfect throwaway pop of I Wish You Heave and the distinctly Prince-y closer of Positivity. Hardly puts a foot wrong for my money.

A lot of people underrate ... It's another one I plan to get. I think I'll end up agreeing. (But actually, I'll end up liking a lot of Pince's material for different reasons).

I think a lot of people got 3121 right by underrating it. I mean, I don't hate it. I think it's pretty good. But grade-wise, the highest I can give it is a B. The progression from song 2 song is good... but I feel that there's no "glue" that binds it all together... that I see in the other albums I own.
Musicology has been underrated. I think it has so much personality, but then again, it has one weak point that has prevented me from listening to it in a while. It's been driving me nuts (the progression from tracks 8-10).
