Just curious if anyone has heard of this and if you have what is your opinion of it. If you have not it is 6 disc in 3 2 disc pkgs. Set one is called Let the games begin, 2 is All the critcs love you in Las Vegas, 3 is Desert Groove. Thanks, I hope that is better.

Yes, and thanks I know it is a boot. I lucked out and got all 6 but I am trying to see what people think of it. It is from the November shows featuring Chaka, Larry, Sheila, Maceo, and a few others. This band really needs a rhythm guitarist, so Prince can fool around without the lack of a riff:
I really miss those funky riffs, because Prince is more focusing on R ‘n R.

I miss Maceo and Candy, they were really great together.
The new band is too small to bring the funk. The rhythm section is lacking.

I’m not saying this band isn’t good ... maybe they will be great in the future, but Prince made some choices I wouldn’t have made.

I really wish someday Prince decides to have a real FUNK band:

Two rhythm guitarists
A drummer and a percussionist
Two keyboard players
One really bad bass-player (or two if he can’t find this bad-ass)
A full horn section (at least of three ... who can take a break if the song doesn’t need a horn section).
Prince fooling around on keyboard / guitar / bass / drums

prince plays best guitar when he is the only guitar player in the band

that ain't funky prince is first a very talented guitar player.
some of the best prince guitar leads were on 2002 tour .

sound is very stripped.
i think prince sounds the best when he is in standard band format guitar bass drums keys.

Prince’s riff during Love Rollercoaster isn’t always that impressive / tight!
His voice will be better if he doesn’t have to focus on both his guitar and his voice.
During the 3121 gigs Prince most often doesn’t play his guitar while he’s singing.

Nowadays it seems like Prince wants to show that he’s a technical superior R ‘n R guitar-player:

cuz musicology and kiss from las vegas gigs have guitar playing by prince.on kiss he plays his crazy funky solo better then any of his rhythm guitar players.
prince is so proffesional that playing guitar while singing doesnt affect his singing.
the hardest part is when you try to talk while you play guitar.its harder then singing and playing at the same time.belive me prince can talk with you while playing guitar solo or rhythm,singing is even easier

that aint that many songs very abused by horns on musicology tour?
even let's go crazy had horn solo.
you don't want to hear prince in lets say diffrent ambient

Besides, I do like a lot of the aftershows during the 2002 - 2004 era. I do like the 3121 gigs too! I'm just saying what I would wish, and I do think Prince needs a full funk-band
The main shows of the ONA and Musicology tours aren't my thing in any way: unlistenable / unwatchable to me!
