I was watching this DVD and I wondered...

U know all the bullshit Dixie Chicks got? I was wondering did Prince ever get this type of reactions, U know, songs like Ronnie Talk 2 Russia, and stuff.

If it had been released as a single,
I'm sure that Dez would've got alot shit for "Mountaineer".
At the time, the country was no where near ready yet for that kind of controversy.

I think that the Dixie Chicks got so much grief because the political and cultural climate at the time was incestuously neo-patriotic.

Prince received no shit from Ronnie, because no one heard it. It was never a single, and Prince didn't really talk politics in interviews back then.
