This weekend, we were at my aunt's new townhouse in need of a paint job. My mom & grandma were talking about designs and they mentioned "paisley". I'm like "what's Paisley?" And they were saying something it being bright colors and such... heh... I figured that I had to ask. That sure got me attention.

This are a few I'm a strong believer of.


* You feel a little depressed/down about something (like life). And after watching a Prince interview, you immediately forget about your troubles and feel a lot better.

*Whenever you're feeling a little down for whatever, you believe that something Prince related will make you feel better.

*If you're really down (like I was a couple of months ago), you listen to your favorite Prince song and afterwards, you feel like Prince spoke to you and you feel better because of it.

You're in a store and hear a Prince song and you can't leave until it's over.
In said store, you get mad if they interrupt it by using the PA system.
Your Prince CD collection takes up the largest space of all your CDs.
You have every issue of Uptown Magazine.

- In said CD store, if some other inferior cds are infront of Princes, you rearrange it so all the Prince cds are in clear view.

- You know more about Prince than your friends mother (and your OWN).

- You impress older people with that

- The website you go to most is the org.

- You made your emo friend sit through Purple Rain just cause.

- Whenever you turn on the radio, you turn it off if there's no Prince song in 20 mins or so.

- You've gotta be the only teenager within miles who listens to the oldie radio station rather than the 3 newie ones.

You're watching The Colbert Report the other night and the guest star is a guy from Rolling Stone magazine. They're talking about its 40th anniversery. The guy says "we've had some great stars, Prince, John Mayer..."
Then Colbert stops him and says "Prince, he was in the 80's"... like in a tone that's like "he's not doing anything anymore, why he's worth mentioning"... like he doesn't even care.

Now I like Colbert as much as the next guy, I think he's hilarious... but that really struck a nerve with me.

How dare he, he doesn't know anything about Prince's recent whereabouts.

When musicians play, they ask you to come up and sing Prince + ask you to wear your Prince costume.

...You take off work on June 7 and really have no reason to other than, you plan to have your own little private 'Purple-a-thon'

...You have more pictures of Prince on your harddrive than you have of yourself (Come on nurse, danceWme, where ya'll at!)

Sigh! I'm feeling pretty pathetic now!
