When Purple Rain came out I was in high school. It was a Catholic , all girls school  . Anyway I had been into Prince for about 2 years. I would wear either one of my fathers blazers, sleeves rolled up (80s style ya'll!!) covered with Prince buttons or a white ruffled shirt and lace gloves. This was with my school uniform skirt. Even though it was the 80s I probably looked kinda odd. (I bought so many lace gloves after I saw PR. All different colors!)To GOD be the Glory! | |

You must be a purpleneck if you hear Incense and Candles on the local radio station, and you hold your breath HOPING that the song will take offf, cause you just know as soon as the masses just HEAR the song, it will become an instant hit. Cause you know that the only reason that 3121 wasn't a bigger hit was because no radio play and no promotions...

I hate when people see me wearing purple (which actually isn't that often!) and start singing "Purple Rain" or something stupid like that!

I have green school supplies, i fought an old lady for a green stapler when i was in 8th grade (still use it- its my lucky stapler), my walls are green (okay I never asked for that), and my mom buys me emerald jewelry even though it isn't my birthstone - only b/c its green. and she pays extra for a green gift box to match. I flip up whenever I heard the word 'prince' or read something randomly and think it says 'prince', but it actually says 'price' I thought i did it again today in biology class. the teacher put notes on the board and used male and female symbols. of course this distracted me all i could think of was  . I thought i was just hearing things at first, but he really said it this time. my teacher's like "if you put them together you get the Prince symbol. Not many people at school knew what he was talkin about but i was sitting there like trying not to squeal with excitement, like every time i hear his name."The truth is that we don't even know what the world will be like until we shake things up a little bit" | |

you should always copyright original work before sending to people... or it becomes your word against their's Next time, send the poem (etc.) to your self certified mail... dated and you sign for it.... but DON'T open the envelop. Save it... if someone ever copies your work, your un-opened envelop dating your work earlier than anything they can produce will be your proof that they stole from you.
