You might be a PurpleNeck if...

* you think of songs playing in your head as Prince's way of telling you what album/songs to play
* Prince stopped by your house as a Jehovah's Witness and you'd not only listen to his message about God, but you'd invite him inside for tea.
* you watched Purple Rain 6x in one week (the first time being the first time you ever see it) and already have it memorized
* You listen to the album of the same name and imagine where the songs occurred in the movie
* You go straight to the boards for advice on what album to get next from people that've been where you are

* you dub the last 10 minutes of Purple Rain "the best 10 minutes of your life" because that's the first time you saw Prince perform and it made you fall "head over heels" (or in lamest terms, become a "fan").

* after hearing Prince's definition of "fan", you no longer refer to yourself as one. (I've also tried to eliminiate it from my vocab... but that's close to impossible).
* after officially proclaiming yourself as one who's taken a liking to Prince, the person you tell repeats it to another in a tone that says "and so begins the end of the world" (this was my mom telling my dad)

In said store, you get mad if they interrupt it by using the PA system.

Sigh! I'm feeling pretty pathetic now!

You developed an involuntary reflex action to jump and turn up the volume whenever a Prince song comes on the radio.

I'll keep you guys posted on one of my grades. I might ace a class because:

* I'm a PurpleNeck czu I incorporated something Prince has taught me about music into a paper about seals & ecology and ace the paper.

So depending on how well I did on my last paper, I might ace the course.

there were a few posters in one wing of my campus and one of them was on Jehovah's Witnesses... and I was tempted to take a look at it cuz it made me think of Prince.

You might be a Purpleneck if you bought The Hits/The B sides and you only listen to the 3rd disk because you have the other songs on the albums they are from. Also, if you only bought Ultimate to get that 2nd disk.
