The 3 things i would change in Purple rain are:


1. In the scene when P and Apples are on the bed, P's Dad should walk in the room and give him another bitch slap and shout "tidy your room boy"

2. In the scene when the revolution are just about to go and perform Purple rain at the end, Prince should suggest they sing jughead as the song that saves them from having to leave First avenue

3. Morris and the time should perform The Hokey Cokey instead of The Bird for their closing number..

I think the film's great as it is.

But if I could pick one thing...

At first glance when I saw the movie's 2nd half that fated day a year or so ago, I thought he was the way he was becuz he was being physically abused at home... They didn't really go into that all that much.

And actually, I thought that his father didn't approve of him going into music... but I guess that would be probably ironic since he's a songwriter as well.

But hey, I like the way they did it. I wouldn't change anything unless I was told that I had to.

things I would change:


***Forget Dez Dickerson and the Modernaires.I would have had Sheila E. and her band up there,kicking ass on "The Glamorous Life".What a perfect way to introduce her to the pop music world.

***Forget "God (Love Theme From Purple Rain)".During the lovemaking scene,the song "Electric Intercourse" should have been playing! This would have been a good way to squeeze this great song into the film,if not on the actual soundtrack album.Release it as the B-side to the "Purple Rain" single.

Yeah Vanity should have played in Purple Rain and no Apollonia

I think the film had too much violence against women so I would take out the women slapping parts and throwing the girl in the trash can. Tacky, ghetto stuff

Also, in the scene where Prince bitch slaps apples for drinking from that hip flask she should turn around and pull out a 9mm, he runs, she shoots after him screaming "yeah, who's da punk bitchass now"

The movie is fine the way it is except for one thing. Purchasing the 20th anniversary edition of "Purple Rain" on dvd and looking at the extras that wasn't on the original dvd made me think? I watched the part where they show the original movie trailer and I almost forgot how many scenes are shown in the trailer but not the movie itself. Like Morris and Appolonia running from Prince's house or Prince punching out Jellybean. So my only change would to add the misssing cut out scenes as extras to the movie so we can all see the whole story as it was intended. Peace!

That little fucker was a scene-stealer & a half.

-Apollonia should've gotten his seat all wet.

-Based on that all-memorable-line,
there definitely should've been a subpoena somewhere in the movie.

-Instead of Modernaire, it should've been Mountaineer.

-The chalk outline of P's dad should've been drawn only if his father had actually died.
