around the world...

It was overcast-blue, moody weather outside today-sort of like that album. Sultry, dreamy, fantasy-like. I was thinking, did he have some sort of inspiration for that album? It has such a strong FEELING to it, such an atmosphere. It seems like he must have had some sort of european experience that touched him. Or, maybe it was purely a subjective experience. Something he created from deep within himself, exempt from the world (even though I doubt that is possible). I don't know, I just wondered what you all thought about this? Where did he come up with the vibe of this album? The writing, the music, everything?

i agree
the title song was originally written by david coleman
i'm thinking Prince was very inspired by it
built an entire album around that vibe
