Good Combo

Sence Prince Likes horns so much in his songs & i love hearing them in his songs,i was riding down the road the other day & poped my Kenny G Casette in my care player & asked myself."I wander if Kenny G has ever played with prince & if not tthen that would be one bad ass Combo"...

Maceo Is the badest man on horns but with Kenny G is would be a mixture of different type of horn blowing i think.Diffrent types of backgrounds in music.

What do yall think?...would you like to hear Kenny G's Horn On One of prince's Albums Or Song?

I sure would smile

I don't know that this would work. Maceo is funky as hell. I don't think Kenny G. would be. I find his music boring.

It's all a matter of opinion, I think.

I can only recall 2 of Kenny G's songs off the top of my head. They have a laid-back feel to them. I don't know how funky he can get... so if he and Prince ever collaborated, I doubt that would be the angle.
It'd be more like a jazzy song that goes along the lines of "Te Amo Corazon"... shrug

Its really amazeing that people act like Kenny G is not talented when if you have even listened to him you know he is.So thats a surprize.

I agree with the statement that if prince & him hooked up it would be more laid back & jazzy then all out FuNk Jam.But its only because Kenny Only plays easy listening jazzy trax & that i think most people here are thinking he cant be FuNkY with his horns. The mans sooo talented that he could do anything with a horn.you can tell that if you listen to his music.

Im not saying this because im the biggest Mr G fan either but i Hes Really,Really Good & I would love to see what Prince & Him could come up with.

I'm not into Kenny G enough to be considered a fan, but of the two songs of his that I remember, I liked what I heard.
And he would be a good combo with Prince, but only for certain types of songs... along the lines of Te Amo Corazon, that type of relaxed melody that slowly builds up as the song progresses.

His sax playing always annoyed me and all his music sounded the same. I love the sax but not Kenny G. I was always more into David Sanborn or Ronnie Laws.
