What did you think about it? biggrin
Kinda made me think of when Prince last year tried to offer money to the sexy go go dancers to go home and stop dancing that night because he believed that kind of dancing was wrong and it turns out his music actually did inspire someone to change their life, in a roundabout way.

Sometimes I really hate how these articles can be onesided on something like this...but I think it was good to point out how sometimes this lifestyle can become overwhelming and take it's mental toll on women and if they are not careful, can distract them from their other goals in life.

I liked reading the article, but it was a little one-sided. She already had esteem issues among others and felt she was devaluing herself by dancing.

I give her praise for helping others who needed it and felt the same as her, but not every girl who dances is a lost soul or has psychological problems. It was a little preachy.

I agree that it is easy to get sucked into the business and stay in it far longer than originally intended and lose sight of the goal that you were using it for. It does take a strong indivdual to handle the aspects of that industry and it's not for the weak.

Sometimes I hated it like hell if I was having a bad day (I had to smile and be phony when I really was not in the mood), but I never allowed myself to get bitter and it damn sure wasn't the end of the road for me and knowing that is what kept me sane.

Yes it doesn't seem stressful but it can be tremendously. And Prince's music definatly helps me deal with it...and encourages me to reach my goals and grow so when I'm ready to move on I can successfully and happily.. biggrin But also greatful for all the life lessons I've learned and tests of strength I've proven to myself. He really is such an inspiration! Whenever I feel like giving up I think of the line "And nothing is worth it if you don't have to try...the higher the stakes the higher the sky" from Wherever u go, Whatever u do.
