Damn you must be rich. I've been to Vegas three times in the past year, but for at least a week or so everytime. Any less than that and i would have felt it was a waste of money. Then again, I never got to see Prince. [Edited 3/23/07 2:29am] |

I travelled from London Gatwick to Philadelphia and then to Vegas in March, the journey was a nightmare as my second flight was diverted to Denver for engine failure but from the moment I landed on Vegas grounds I was relieved!.
The reason I travelled so far was that I knew from previous reviews that 3121 was a very small venue and I was not disappointed, I had a great spot at the front. I know Prince has a concert in San Francisco but I assume this venue will be bigger, I don't like large crowds. If there will be another intimate venue such as 3121, I will travel very far, when you love the man and his music, you forget about the distance. All the best, Suzie "Girly Man Man Man..... It is just about being organised and keen!. It is all about priorities, and Prince is one of them (he is my number 1 ) I am being realistic, Prince is 48, still young looking and damn sexy but he won't be around forever (just the thought of this makes me feel sad). I always regretted not to see James Brown live for example. We only live once and we have to express ourselves one way or another, so going to Vegas just made sense to me. Having the chance to see him so close, seeing him singing, performing and smiling is a moment I will always cherish. All the best, Suzie "Girly Man Man Man..... Kill her kill her kill her"

All the best, Suzie I am very aware of this and would have busted my balls to go to 3121 at the Rio, if it weren't for the fact that I'm not 21 and therefore there's a strong likelyhood I wouldn't have gotten in. I have spent a lot of money on Prince and love him to death, I just think that going to Vegas for a WEEKEND is slightly over the top being that it's so far from the UK. I have been to Vegas a number of times as my wife used to live there, and we got married there, but in my experience it took me at least 2 days to get used to the place and start enjoying myself!! I would never travel that far for less than 4 days, MINIMUM! |

I understand why you think a w/e in Vegas is a bit over the top for us coming from England. To be honest with you, I think Vegas is an interesting place to see but I am not into gambling and it is quite tacky so a w/e was enough. Are there other things to see apart from hotels, clubs or casinos?. Thanks for letting me know... Maybe it is the right place for partying and acting crazy but I don't think I will go back unless it is for a Prince concert. All the best, Suzie "Girly Man Man Man..... I used to wait for him to come to the Chicago area myself, but in 04 when I went to other cities, it was interesting to see the differences in the vibe each place had. The energy level and "experience" was quite different in each place and if this tour is affordable like the last, I'll do it again. All the way from Germany to the Twin Cities to witness the 2002 Xenophobia Celebration...a lot of stress due to the NPGMC fucking things up ( no ticket though I did pay etc.) , it´s a very long story actually BUT ..in the end , it was worth it, I will always remember that fantastic time and all the nice people I met and the amazing performances Prince gave.
I also don´t hesitate to travel long distances in the Germany/Netherlands/Belgium area anytime he comes over here...everytime I see a show, it´s like witnessing a great piece of music history....one day people will realize...just like Woodstock or Hendrix concerts or Miles Davis, just how great Prince is and what they all missed out on ....also, going through the "friction years" with the NPG and witnessing those great shows and seeing him where he is today is giving me a great feeling of satisfaction and pride. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

50 minutes.
If it were possible for all of his fams to line up in one huge single file, there's a pretty good chance that I'd be the very last one in line. // [Edited 3/23/07 6:12am]

Here here - I have only really been into Prince (this much anyhow) for a couple of years so haven't seen him in concert that much but this was truly the best up close and personal and in such a small place - the aftershow I went to in Feb was just mindblowing in everyway - I was in heaven but my feet were in hell but it was soo worth it. The drive should have been less than 8 hours but, due to a 24 hour duty (military), tired and no sleep, it took 8 hours and was well worth it. "I don't make the rules. I just play"

1 hour for me was the longest.
I live in Minneapolis and I just wait until he comes back. If I'm lucky, he can even show up in a local club without notice.
