Dear Prince (if you're reading)

I'm going to your Aug 17 O2 concert in London and I was wondering whether I could request that you play a couple of covers as you've been doing this a lot recently in Vegas. I think you'd absolutely tear up Pink Floyd's 'Comfortably Numb' (especially the extended second guitar solo) as well as Jimi Hendrix's 'Voodoo Chile'. Think it would be interesting to see him try the Pink Floyd solo as David Gilmour has a really powerful, melodic style that I think Prince could relate to and which I think he recreated a bit in 'It'. What do you all think?

as contrived and played out as this choice seems, i have never heard him do it live before. I have heard several bootlegs where he just kills it but yet to experience it first hand. The anticipation before he kills it on the guitar - man, that opening note on his solo.. damn, he could just hold that note forever if he wanted to. Just Beautiful.

If he played it, it would make my life.


i got to hear the question of u during an ONA soundcheck.. which ticked a box for things i wanted to see prince do live. My guest who i took to the concert didnt know much prince - after witnessing that performance he just turned to me and said "that was fucking insane". still doesnt like prince though - he's dead now. will take a more appreciative guest next time! lol

It's her favourite song and although I saw you play it in Manchester in '95 my girlfriend wasn't there.

Also she says can you play at our wedding "betcha by golly wow" - as in her words "it's the only way i'll get you to marry me"!

yes i belive prince surfs on the net.because it's the only place he can be anonymus.
he probably post on org as forumer just to spice things a bit.
internet is the only place where prince can be directly in communication with his fans.
we didn't like kirk j and larry.
those two are not in the band.
we wanted joy in repetition live and emty room and he gave us.
fans wanted prince move aways from horn sounds and he did ,his sound is more guitar driven now,less horn driven
so yes i realy think his royal badness is here somewhere

yes maNY HERE SUGGESTED THAT his horns tend to make music vegas like.
he plays more guitar rock oriented material like fury ,johny b good,peach,anotherlover...
from lovesexy in recent year he played anna stacia best song on lovesexy.
lovesexy songs are more like jams,as a unit album work but as song wise no.
i cant rember most of lovesexy songs except i wish you heaven,anna stasia ,alphabet street.
if you ask me prince started to feel stagnationas composer after sign of the times

maybe thats the reason he dont play lovesexy.
