Curious Again

1.) Who played the "Why U wanna treat me so bad" solo?

2.) Doesn't the "Uptown" guitar riff sound like it's saying "Uptown! Saturday Night!"

3.) Do I feel that waycuz of 'the movie'?

4.) Isn't it wierd seeing bill cosby with a beard like that?

5.) Don't you wish DREAM FACTORY was released?

6.) [5 cont.] Let's say it was; it sold more than PURPLE RAIN; Prince didn't leave the revolution; SOTT and other post-revolution albums where never released.. Do you think by 2007 we'd still dicsuss the genius of Prince alone, or would we be disscussing The Revolution as one of History's greatest bands?

7.) Doesn't "Count the Days" sound like an outtake from THE TRUTH?

8.)Was being a teenager in the 80's as cool as it sounds?

9.) Doesn't the original "Old Friends 4 Sale" make you wanna cry?

10.) Pt.I=Do U think Prince really liked New Wave, or was he Capitalizing off the Trend? (considering his first two realeases and his return 2 form)
Pt.II= What did 80's punk think of Princes Rude boy posturing? Did they respect it or consider him a poser?

11.) Was "Walk, Don't Walk" poorly written? Ilove the song, and understand the general message, but feel like it's a tad cryptic {I am aware who we're discussing however}

12.) I don't have 1-800-NEW-FUNK...am I missing anything?

13.) Fill in the Blank: You're about 2 make love for the first time with someone new, he/she tells you 2 wait and presses play on the radio...Prince's _____ come's on. You reply "I think I'm in love"

14.)Can you think of a better final question?

1.Prince
2. confuse
3. confuse
4. confuse
5. nod
6. I think the Revolution would have broken up eventually anyway, so Prince would be discussed more than the band as a whole.
7. Yes
8. I wouldn't know because I was born in '85
9. sad Yes
10. hmmm
11. I always skip that song, so yes.
12. Not really. I rarely listen to it.

1.) Who played the "Why U wanna treat me so bad" solo? P, as far as I know?? confuse

2.) Doesn't the "Uptown" guitar riff sound like it's saying "Uptown! Saturday Night!" confuse

3.) Do I feel that waycuz of 'the movie'? confuse Maybe. confused lol

4.) Isn't it wierd seeing bill cosby with a beard like that? Like what?? lol

5.) Don't you wish DREAM FACTORY was released? Not really - as great an album as it is, everything happens for a reason. And there's always the bootleg. mr.green Having said all that, if you said the original 'Crystal Ball', I may change my answer. wink

Possibly. nod

7.) Doesn't "Count the Days" sound like an outtake from THE TRUTH? I can see the similarities. nod

8.)Was being a teenager in the 80's as cool as it sounds? I wasn't a teenager but I grew up then and have some have GREAT memories from that period. Some not so great ones either. But, musically, it was certainly a more diverse period. nod

9.) Doesn't the original "Old Friends 4 Sale" make you wanna cry? It makes my heart melt. mushy Those harmonies on the last few lines... they send shivers down my spine. mushy

10.) Pt.I=Do U think Prince really liked New Wave, or was he Capitalizing off the Trend? (considering his first two realeases and his return 2 form) shrug P's just a musical chameleon, the way I see it. He can take something, turn it around and put his purple spin on it. When he's not inventing things like the MPLS sound. wink I see no reason as to why he didn't like it - it wouldn't make sense otherwise. His heart wouldn't be in it. shrug
Pt.II= What did 80's punk think of Princes Rude boy posturing? Did they respect it or consider him a poser? No idea but possibly a bit of both.

11.) Was "Walk, Don't Walk" poorly written? Ilove the song, and understand the general message, but feel like it's a tad cryptic {I am aware who we're discussing however} I like it. smile

12.) I don't have 1-800-NEW-FUNK...am I missing anything? I really like it, especially Love Sign. One of my favourite 90s tracks. worship music

13.) Fill in the Blank: You're about 2 make love for the first time with someone new, he/she tells you 2 wait and presses play on the radio...Prince's _____ come's on. You reply "I think I'm in love" Horny Toad. lol Nah, tough choice. I was going to say Condition Of The Heart but that's a bit of a weird choice. Maybe... Insatiable??? Or Joy In Repetition.

14.)Can you think of a better final question? Too lazy. smile

Wendy & Lisa were on their way out one way or another anyway. He couldn't have convinced them to stay forever.

Being a teenager in the 80's was definitely as cool as it sounds...even better than it sounds...times were simpler back then..sometimes when I watch 80's sit com reruns..I'm like I cant believe I was naive enuff ta laff at that back then..but thats the beauty of it..I was! Prince was our voice..our heartbeat..everyone was afraid that we'd wake up to tha mushroom cloud..and the threat was very real back then..no bling bling,hip-hop was a novelty that we thought would never last (but I guess it didnt, since it turned into RAP music..(you dig?)...peopls combed their hair and actually wore clothes that fit, well unless you wore designer,nutt-crunchers..teachers cared..four people could get drunk on two beers..skipping school was an EVENT, not a common occurance..and Prince and The Time was always there..and it was cooler that it sounds.. & I apologize for ramblin'!!
