I've said this numerous times on previous threads on this subject....
Winter In America by Gil Scott-Heron

Especially with world events as they are at the moment I can't think of a better time for Prince to record this track, plus I really think it would suit his voice.

I want Prince to cover: Not a damb fucking thing!!!!

Rod Stewart will get around to it regardless of what song it could be. Most of my favorites have been sitting around their studio thinking what a fucking brilliant original idea it would be to make a "Cover" album. It's a shitty stupid way of saying "I have no ideas." Aerosmith, George Michael, Huey Lewis, Paul McCartney, Hall & Oates, Def Leppard, even John fucking Mellencamp, and to an extent, Sting have had the brilliant original idea to do a cover album. In Sting's defense, nobody ever heard the songs he was covering since they were from before Moses parted the Red Sea, and even before the song "Happy Birthday" was written...that's fucking old!!!. And guess what, despite all the platnium success of the artist's I named, in almost each case, the cover album was the worst or second worst selling record of their ENTIRE career. Kinda says something doesn't it.

NO PRINCE NO, don't do it! Re-record Diamonds and Pearls and Symbol, editing Tony McDonalds out of the mix, if you have to re-make something.

Has Prince ever actually sung While my guitar gently weeps- i know he's played a mean guitar (rock and roll hall of fame) but has he ever sung the lyrics? Can anybody help?

I would like to see Prince cover a song he wrote for someone else like "Nothing Compares 2 U". I prefer The Bangles-Manic Monday or Kid Creole's-The Sex Of It.
Peace and be wild!
