I think that The Gold Experience and Exodus have the most.

It's actually not all that bad. Control is the worst out of them all since it has a few repeats of the bad words considered to be "the baddest". Billy Jack is kinda bad too... At the very beginning, I had a problem with the cursing... now I don't mind, it just washes over me and actually, in the case of control, it makes me laugh cuz of his line delivery. had 2 run away... pride was 2 strong. It started raining, baby, the birds were gone

Well, the reason that I even post this question is that most say he's not dirty anymore. And it got me wondering, when did he curse the most, as a lot of people equate the cursing to being dirty. Now, I know better, you can be mad dirty and not have to curse, so that's why I ask. I figure COME is a pretty curse filled album. But, again, what do you think? My guess is Exodus... I love profanity as much as anyone, but "Count the Days" is just ruined by all the motherfuckers.

Yeah, it would have been nice if they left them out, like in the music video. Wanna hear me sing? www.ChampagneHoneybee.com

The MFs just kind of distract a little, imo. I personally don't like hearing a lot of cursing, but sometimes it's not so bad. Wanna hear me sing? www.ChampagneHoneybee.com

I completely forgot about The Black Album. That is definitely the album with the most bad words.

I think if you count the number of times motherfucker is said in the song Sexy Motherfucker, I think the Symbol album wins hands down.
Personally, I'm not bothered by the word motherfucker, it is a noun, you know and a versatile one at that!

It is funny that you have this thread. I just got Exodus last week and have been listening to it a lot. I keep wanting to count the number of MFs on this album, because they are incessant. There's just a lot of cussing on the album period. I got the feeling that P was in an angry space when they recorded this, which is curious because the title is Exodus. BTW - I do LOVE Count the Days. I always felt the MFs on that song added an interestingly ironic contrast to the beauty of the music, melody and harmonies. perfection is a fallacy of the imagination...

Define "bad words". If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Gold nigga and Gold experience as far as profanity go. Actual bad words if one is pertaining to immoral things and sexual filth it would have to be Dirty Mind with its songs of lust and depravity. Sister is about incest and Head involves ejaculation on a brides wedding dress. That aside its his best album and funniest.
His tasteless swearing comes in on Exodus, Gold nigga and the stupid raps on Emacipation like Facedown. 17 Years ago I made a commitment to Prince

I think they're referring to sloppy grammar and lazy descriptive verse. Which, by the way, includes most Prince albums. [Edited 4/25/07 22:24pm]

I like the curse-filled version better. Motherfuckers intact, it comes off as angry. Curse-free, it's more of a whimper. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

The album as a whole is tad too potty mouthed (and this is coming from someone who can curse like a sailor however, the cursing in the song "Count the Days" strangely fits very well. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I always thought Count the Days could have been a hit in the "Money Don't Matter 2 Night" kinda mode, had there been a clean version. I think it's a beautiful song and while it's swearing fits in with the ethos of the Exodus album, I'd have loved a clean version so as to give it a chance to reach a wider audience. It always seems a kinda lost song for that reason. How many people own Exodus and have therefore even heard of the song. Such a shame more people don't know it.
