She Loves me for Me - is a song that I hardly hear anyone talking about and I wanted to give it some love..

It seems to break up the RBC album perfectly, also the fact that it doesnt seem excessively religous, and it seems like Prince being quite "normal" and personal, is also endearing.

Finally, the music and the tune is so cute, catchy and infectous its amazing that its really overlooked..

anyway, for all that its worth I just wanted to let the world know that I lvoe this song!

Definetly 1 of the highlights of the album 4 me.
Its a beautiful little tune,gorgeous melody,sweet lyrics and it does sound straight from the heart.
I often thought of it as him telling the world about him and Mani and how maybe different she was from Mayte.....

for me this song was about him giving up on love. it's like he's saying, 'yeah you'll do". exactly how i think he felt about mani.

not the most passionate song in the world is it. i mean its no pink cashmere is it! he's singing about about how she loves him, he doesn't say much about loving her.

anyway, I think the song gives us an insight into his personality and what he kind of looks for in a woman (or person in general). Good manners, politeness, grace, charm.
