Prince and the Imus situation With all of this "Imus" stuff going on and the references that have been made toward hip hop, it has made me appreciate Prince more for being a man of true virtue and dignity. I reference back to the 97 interview Prince did with Chris Rock when he stated that he would not let any of the rappers sample any of his music because of the language(the N word in particular). He said somethng to the effect of that he thought it was just a never ending circle that they wouldnt be able to get out of. "Put a glide in your stride, and a dip in your hip, and come on to the mothership"

It was the Emancipation Interview with Chris Rock. Prince was dressed in some weird head-to-toe yellow-green outfit. I don't recall him referencing the use of the n-word at all (Prince has used it in some of his songs, particularly Pussy Control ("I'm that Nigga--at least I wanna be"...etc.), but I do know he mentioned the use of "Bitch this, Bitch that.." or something to that affect. Prince was saying that that kind of language is a trap or something like that. That was a decent interview for a Prince interview--I liked his response to the MJ comparisons, but I rolled my eyes, when Chris posed a question about "If Prince could pick a list of his peers to be in his band who he hadn't worked with before" who they would be. He chose members of the Revolution and NPG.

Prince has used the N-word in Pheromone also.. it's that buried loop in the song... "Pheromonemakeaniggagocrazy' Pheromonemakeaniggawannadie" (while L is for Lust, etc is going on) ... i did have this as a signature, but with all the racist crap lately.. had to rid it..
