well just take a look at some more pics of him, he has some kind of dot there..maybe he darkened this one in this particular pic. I have a magazine purse with this same pic, it looks darkened with eyeliner or something, but there is something there confused

i HIGHLY DOUBT they were ever romantically involved.
he certainly didn't musically interact with her on the same level as his other lovers then.
i don't really care, that was THEN.
who here, or anywhere for that matter, would really know?
it's all speculation and NOBODY'S BIZ to boot.
i always thought SHE wanted to work with him more than he with her,
hence the one song on her album.
and pardon me, but it wasn't much of a song for either of them.
i heard he sent her the "bones" of the song, and she pasted her part into it.
not much collaboration there, if true.
it seemed to me more like an obligatory response on P's part to be nice in the midst of her peak commercial success, as AT THE TIME they could be seen as commercial competitors (late 80's).

BUT NOW, they have weathered much time, they have alot in common.
their music and mutual success (including MJ) in the 80's makes them FAMILY, in retrospect.

i think they totally respect each other in terms of celebrity, talent, longevity, artistry.
they have differing gifts; and they acknowledge and respect each other's differences.
P's gift is almost pure music.
M's gift is more of an overall talent in terms of singing, dancing, acting, public persona.
i could go on like: her focus these days is her family. i see her as much more of a media extrovert,
whereas P is much more into reclusively producing, writing, and entrepreneuring;
and his focus these days is 3121.

I ADORE THAT PIC of her hugging him.
to me, it represents her almost motherly affection for him now.
they've put whatever past differences or competition behind them
and seem to be genuine friends filled with respect for one another.

JUST MY THOUGHTS.

I don't know P, but I love him and he has faults just like us mortals and I can't see him giving Love Song to Madonna just to be "nice". P has never been "nice in that way, especially in the '80s at his peak. And I do think they dated. I remember hearing those stories in the '80s.

As far as Madonna respecting P, I don't think she respects anyone but herself

Yes I think I read this book (I've read a few on Madonna) but in one of them it said that Prince told his friend or bodyguard or someone that Madonna was like really physically strong. He said she had the strength of ten women or something like that. cool

I can't understand why it bums people out or how that they don't want to believe
that P has been with Madonna. What's the big deal? P has been with a lot of women in the entertainment industry. P, especially in the 80's, was going to be someone that many women would go after. Especially if they had the means to come in contact with him. Like Madonna did.
