I didn't say it was full of filler and I don't hate ANY of Prince's work, but in over 20 years of listening, for the first time, I think something's lacking somewhere. I LOVE all his work, and it's all etched in my mind, but these last two just don't feel right, in some way. Maybe we just spoilt. I prefer musicology, given the choice, but not the whole thing, thats why I think combining the best off each would be one fantastic album.Obviously debatable which tracks, Let's have a mas-debate! I love the version that he did on Tavis Smiley. But it's something about the drums in the album version that I don't like. |

I dunno. Some days I feel it and I think it's sweet and some days I don't and I feel like it's just ok. I feel it more when I watch the video, I guess. Ive gone through both albums and deleted the songs I dont like and this is wht´s left. In fact I might get this variation on my iPod now.. good idea! I might also combine Parade/ATWIAD and Lovesexy/Black as there are also songs i always skip on these...
PS - I used to hate get on the boat, but its kind of growing on me. Its still not appropriate as the last song on the album, maybe second last
