how did he get away with doing billy jack bitch on the AMA's? whne he did the gold expeience medley on the AMA's, how'd BJB make it to the airwaves? of course this was way before the recent round of censorship, but how did this slip past the hall monitors? | |

The song hadn't been released yet, so there's a good chance the producers didn't even know what he was lipsynching to in that part.
Also, "bitch" has always been on the cusp of inflammatory. Sometimes it's allowed and sometimes not. Elton John had a hit with "The Bitch Is Back," and that's definitely been played on TV and radio without incident. And Prodigy had "Smack My Bitch Up" on around the same time. Plus, that was the time when American television had the balls to challenge the FCC at least a little, tiny bit. | |

I had to listen to the AMAs performance like 3 times before I figured out he had said "Billy Jack Bitch" Just a question, what is the song he's singing towards the end ("Bend Over, Let Me See It") And Mayte pours water on herself. That's the only part of the song I can make out. I love a Man who:
