surprise party.... so check this. i threw my husband a surprise b-day party last saturday. to set the stage, for those who don't know me, my husband is NOT a Prince fan whatsoever. Soooo....he slyly walks into the bedroom followed by a crowd of people to check out his b-day present (now mind you all these people also know how much I love P's music)....his present is a 37" flat screen.....he sees it...he is in shock....disbelief....then excitement....he very quickly reaches for the remote...properly positions himself in front of the tv (still with a crowd of onlookers) and prepares to push the button for full level testoterone....and what happens????
the tv comes, in and the music blares....huh? what is that...the picture comes into focus...and what is it we see? PRINCE in PURPLE RAIN!! Ha ha! Let me tell you guys...it could not have been more perfect! And it wasn't even planned. I didn't set up the tv, or set it to that channel...the TV guy that delivered it did. I had no clue! Of course, husband immediately hits the button and starts yelling "defective, defective....you have to return it immediately!" The whole crowd is dying laughing already from hearing Let's Go Crazy blaring through the tv.....ahhh, surreal moment for Kat! | |

yea....its was great.
i hired a karaoake company for the event....there were kids there and i was dying all night to sing P Control...so we finally made the decision to try and sing a "clean" version....what, there is a clean version? There is now....it is called... KITTY CONTROL! Oh my....the laughter was side splitting every time we belted out "Ahhhh Kitty Control"! now...of course...forgetting there were a few other choice words throughout the song...those were great cause you weren't prepared for them...so when motherf**ker comes up ...Kat is singing "motherrrrr"
And..of course, we shut the party down with a nice rendition of Purple Rain...hehe [Edited 4/18/07 9:24am] | |

And what's your husband got that I haven't ... apart from a blissful marriage and a 37" screen????
