The Prince Of LA?

We talked to Prince's people last night at the NAACP Image Awards and they dropped what could be a potential bomb for the city of Los Angeles. Prince was there picking up an award for best male artist and after the show his people let us know that he may be moving his highly successful Club 3121 at the Rio in Vegas to LA. The club is named after his latest CD which took its title from a house he rented in Los Angeles years ago.

nope...see here:http://www.prince.org/msg/7/145050

5.11 Does Prince have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame?
No, he does not.

5.11a Really? Why ever not?!?
He would either have to buy his own star or be nominated to get one. For more information on the Walk of Fame nomination process, go HERE

We really should start a fan-based effort to get him a star...
see here:http://www.hollywoodchamber.net/icons/faq.asp
Q: Who can do the nominating?
A: Anyone, including a fan, can nominate a celebrity as long as the celebrity or his/her management is in agreement with the nomination. If there is no letter of agreement included from the celebrity or his/her representative, the committee will not accept the application.

His rented house in LA was renamed by Prince 3121 but that was never it's original official postal address. He no longer rents that property, the owner had a dispute with him over painting some walls purple and some interior renovations.

He used to host 3121 parties there, he's already been there done that in LA, I would be surprised if this came true.

I wouldn't give up on Prince on the basis of this rumor. rose

The reason there are so many rumors being tossed around is that Prince hasn't "officially" let out any information about what his next move will be.

Thing is, while it's frustrating now, waiting to see what he will do next, how it will work is one day (or a dozen, or a month's worth of days), we won't know what his plans are, then he'll announce his plans...and that day we will know.

That's true - we've heard several of these 'talked to Prince's people' stories over recent months, and they never tie together - one minute they are saying he is announcing a tour soon, or announcing a new album, or cutting short his Vegas stint - it all only goes to prove that Prince tells his people all sorts of ideas that shouldn't be taken as fact because he hardly ever goes through with any of them.

the whole "Anna Nicole thing" is in Florida, not in L.A.. (unless there's something new) but seriously- the last three weeks- its been the only thing on the news here in Miami. ugh. this is why i watch local news as little as possible.

I'm sorry but alternative to what? P isn't a monk. Just because he secluded himself in MPLS for years doens't make him special. He still lived an extravagant lifestyle. He moved to a different state and I really don't see what the big deal is. So he has parties that celebs go to, again what is the big deal? Shit... he's a celeb for crying out loud.

I'm just trying to grasp what some fans have against L.A. and Vegas, and would it be the same if he moved his base of operations to to NYC or Atlanta? Personally unless the guy moves to D.C. and becomes my next door neighbor it doesn't benefit me in any way shape or form. lol

Just because you're a celebrity doesn't mean you have to hang out at clubs or whatever.
Like I was watching parts of Dateline NBC last night and there was some story about "the Paris Hilton tapes" or some mess, and these people were going on and on about these stupid Hollywood parties and the kind of things that go on there.
I barely remember details,I was half-asleep but I do remember being turned off by it.
Not all celebrities go to these parties,so what you're saying doesn't make anysense, its seems like Prince will hang out with anybody as long as they're famous, have some standards at least.Sometimes you're judged by the company you keep, and most of these celebrities seem like all they care about is material things and partying, and yes I did think Prince was kinda deep and not some airhead like some of the people at these parties.
He doesn't have to seclude himself but he doesn't have to hang out with idiots either.

And you guys said he tore down his house in MPLS,so is he gonna tear down Paisley Park too,and why am I the only one bothered by that?
Paisley Park is more than a building, its a part of him,and getting rid of it would make me sad,and I'm not apologizing for that.

I dont think you know much about his private life to make such a judgement (that's just my opinion you're free to make a judgement ofcourse biggrin) . all we know about is what is reported but that does not mean that such reportsspeaks for where and who he hangs out with all the time. We're just the outsiders looking in.

You are just way too invested into the mans private life, period. If he attends a party that he was invited to it doesn't mean he personally knows or hangs out with every person there. If he throws a party and one of his invited guests brings someone you find offensive it doesn't mean that: a) P has to find them offensive too, or b) may even have ever met the person before. That's the nature of a "party" you don't necessesarily have to know every single person in the joint.

You and some others seem to think that they have the right to dictate who he should and should not hang with, date, party with, talk to, record with, worship with, etc. What is that all about?
