Does anybody know who 'Martha' is in Insatiable and (correct me if I'm wrong)Let's Pretend We're Married (Martha ...I'm not saying this to be nasty, but I sincerely wanna...!)?

I always assumed he was talking about Martha Quinn,that MTV chick who had a major crush on Prince She's a huge fan,so maybe Prince mentioned her in a few songs to make her happy?

Maybe he sings "Mother"?

Somehow i think he is refering to singer Martika.

I mean, he did produce and write some songs for her during the recording of Diamonds and Pearls, and maybe Martha is her birthname, while Martika is her artist name.

I have no evidence whatsoever for that, but it could be the case...couldn't it?

She's from the early days of MTV.She was a VJ (video jockey),playing videos on that channel from 1981 to 1986,if I'm not mistaken.She was always a huge Prince fan.Whenever she played his videos,she always had something positive to say about him.She even hung out with Prince in Wyoming,interviewing him at the 'Under The Cherry Moon' premiere.In the early 90s,she came back to MTV and I recall her holding up the 'Diamonds and Pearls' CD,raving about the holographic cover Perhaps she was really excited about this CD because Prince mentions her in the song "Insatiable"?
