wanna share how u know it was about Jill?

great track. one of what i call his "Killer B's" (as in slammin' b-sides). love the slow almost elastic sounding guitar intro. very different as a track. not sure what album it'd FIT. as a b-side to Raspberry Beret, it doesn't exactly fit the ATWIAD album. glad he let it see the light of day. always a treat when he does it live. does it more so now than when it was out. got mad radio play here in Detroit, and rightfully so.

The CD-rom that came with Uptown´s Days Of Wild book contains a picture of Prince´s handwritten lyrics...looks like he wrote it in a hotel in LA.

I think it would fit Parade. Something about it has always vaguely reminded me of Anotherloverholenyohead.

Anybody happen to know when it was recorded (and during what sessions?)

There's a version from a live performance in '93 & the guitar solo at the end makes me go eek headbang eek because it sounds like Hendrix showed up & took over.

Yeah, would love to know how you know it's about Jill! biggrin

It really has grown on me. I love the sweetness, happiness but also melancholic sound of his voice in this song.
WOW, it got RADIO PLAY????
LUCKY YOU!
