Well, I remember the opening night of the Lovesexy tour in Paris was covered, complete with footage. Maybe my eyes or my memory are deceiving me, but I distinctly remember a clip of Prince blazin on the guitar wearing a white blouse, black mini skirt with white stockings and knee high boots. There were suspenders hanging from the skirt and he had a big black bow with white polka dots in his hair. I remember this because my father REFUSED to let me look the other way. "HE'S A F*G!!!!" my dad screamed. Anyone else remeber this? That wasn't a skirt it was shorts.

However much I understand how he evolves, I somehow feel that boldness gone these days... Apart from the shock effect, I also thing that especially during the first "bad" part of the Lovesexy concert, he deliberately played the androgyn/"drag" idea... Opinions? | |

I think he played up to all of his audiences.. black, white, straight, gay, bi, funk, rock, r&b, singers, musicians... he had it all, a little bit of everything for everyone. Believe it or not, I really am working. So far today, I've been on here twice, for a total of about 7 minutes, and I've posted 3 times (all to this thread). So I'm hardly shirking my responsibilities. If they only knew?????

And I don't know what you're on about. You'll have to explain it to me. The only lyric I think you could possibly be talking about is "You must act like a man", but surely not ? Cross-dressing may not seem like the most manly of pursuits, but it is, after all, just clothing choice. It shouldn't be a big deal.
