Will P be able to have a smash hit again in the future?

As for me, it's impossible.
If the radio airplay is low, you can't get a single chance to have a song that will become as popular as purple rain or kiss.
One question: what is the main reason radio networks don't like Prince? Black sweat should have become a great succcess, instead...
In God we trust.

Ageism and the animosity the industry has toward Prince. Disgusting if u ask me.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

I bet songs like "Black sweat","Love", "Coma, illusion pimp & circumstance" and many other would have been at #1 in the airplay and in the singles chart if the singer was Usher, Justin Timberlake and people like that.
In God we trust.

I feel the same way. Hits mean nothing. Look at the shit on the charts today.

The question is, would you really want him to have a smash hit again?

A hit according to who? You and I or the general public? I mean, when we look at certain songs, some of which aren't big hits, they're usually hits to us fans.

But I don't really care ultimately. shrug As long as the music is good, then it's a hit to me. smile

I dont think so..the only way to have a smash hit nowadays is ta sound like everybody else..and Prince will never do that...well he did it on his 2nd album..but that was then and this is now..and a whole 'nother subject...
