Calhoun Sq. got it right. Black album ain't good. It should have gone ages ago. Controversy should go pretty soon as well, cos although half of it is brilliant the other half is pants.

If Prince would have edited it a little and thrown in Irresistable bitch it would tie with SOTT as his greatest album. I agree with this guy. The problem I have with 1999 is that the songs are too LONG. Automatic and Lady Cab Driver and DMSR are all cool jams, but they aren't musically interesting enough to be 8 and 9 minutes long. That's why I think it should go. I never understood why people love this album so much. And I just find Let's Pretend We're Married and International Lover to really suck... | |
