It's quite the curious thing. I've convinced myself (and have believed 4 a few weeks now) that Prince doesn't age. Age is a meaningless number, both to him and me. His music defines his age more than numbers do.
This helps me get past the fact that he's edging 50... I still can't believe that... Do you have any idea how good he looks at his age?

His music is timeless. But I love 80's music in general, that's why his material 4 Purple Rain always kills me cuz it is so good. Then I see him in the 'Black Sweat' video... his hairstyle explains his supposed age, but I still see some of the same facial expressions he wore in his earlier days ('83-'84).

I guess this kinda proves he really hasn't changed all that much, but I'd like to draw a line somewhere so I can take him more seriously these days becuz he's full of wisdom & experience that I can't help but respect .

He doesn't even obey the rules of time.

It's strange, though. He actually looks older during the Musicology tour than he does now.

I think a combination of things has played a part in Prince looking so young.

1) His genetics
2) The fact that he gets exercise now and did when he was younger with concerts.
3) Prince used to eat crap like Doritos but has opted for a healthier diet, weather he is a vegan or he has started eating fish.
3) Prince eats fewer calories (calorie restriction or longevity diet)
4) Prince seems to understand how to control stress, the man lights incense and candles and he is very mellow.
5) Prince most likely makes time for sleep unless it might be the odd occasion where he has a hectic schedule.
6) Prince probably uses face and body care products as well.

Looking at pictures over the years I can honestly say that Prince has not given in to plastic surgery.

In a nutshell, Prince takes care of himself.

This is off-topic... but I wonder if he uses caffeine (coffee or tea) to wake himself up... or just goes down to his studio or picks up his guitar...

And if he doesnt indulge in caffeine... maybe that's why he looks so good...

C'mon guys, that's hardly the point of my post.

Then again, I'll stick to my theory that the Michael Jackson we knew in the 80's was kidnapped by aliens and they gave us with a clone in his place.

Whoever posted those pics from the press conference... that still blows my mind... except in rare cases like that, he really doesnt seem to age at all.

Man, it's strange. I'm playing tracks from 3121... and it almost feels like Prince is a young soul trapped inside a body edging 50...

The Dance, I just listened 2. The very end does remind me of TB1's... this is the only screaming he does on the whole album. It reminds me of the way he was in Purple Rain...

maybe I just find 3121 kinda tame compared to his earlier work... the energy level is more relaxed and reserved, I guess u could stay.

He does look wonderful, so healthy and how on earth he keeps his body looking absolutely beautiful is beyond me ,ost men at 40 have pot bellies and balding heads!

It's strange, his music defines his age better than numbers... yet 'Money don't matter 2night' sounds like something he could have written recently. It's that sophisicated. And 'The Word' sounds like it could have been written sometime in the past cuz there's nothing modern about it (unlike some of the other 3121 tracks).

I gotta stop mixing and matching past & present... I'm confusing myself by blending them all together. Wait, that's what I did in the beginning, I blended everything together... now that I have a little info. on the diff. eras, I want to keep them seperate...
